Glacial Deposition
Most deposition (dropping of sediment / rocks) occurs when ice melts. As most
melting occurs at the snout (end) of the glacier this where most material is deposited.
If a glacier then advances this material is pushed forwards and down the mountain
like a bulldozer moving debris. This is why this process is called bulldozing.
What happens when the glacier retreats?
