Yesterday I tested my muffin recipe during class. To begin the lesson I practiced WPHS by
putting on my apron, tying back my hair and washing my hands before commencing my cook. I
even preheated my oven before I set up my bench. I referred back to my work plan to make
sure I added the correct measurements of each ingredient. This also helped me to manage my
time as I followed my time plan. I chose to make raspberry and white chocolate muffins. I used
2 bowls- wet and dry, I made a well when adding the liquids and combined with 10 strokes. It
was tricky for me to evenly distribute the mixture in the cases as I kept making a mess. I was
able to identify by myself that my muffins were ready as I used the finger touch method and
the muffin top bounced back……..

Add the berries at the very end and gently fold through so it doesn’t make the batter pink.
Remember to put my apron on so Miss doesn’t have to remind me.
Keep my bench tidy by making sure all rubbish goes into the bin bowl immediately.
Use a ¼ cup measure to help evenly distribute the mixture into the cases.
Assign tasks to each member at my bench when cleaning up – bench, rinse, wash, dry, put
away etc.
What could I write about?
