Electrical power is the rate at which electrical energy is used. There are many common
appliances, such as washing machines or a television that use electrical energy. Think about all
the ways that you use electrical energy in your life. How much of that energy is wasted due to
poor management. There is a growing need for individuals to be more aware of their
sustainable energy use. Sustainable energy use means a way of perceiving, producing, and
using energy to avoid waste.
In a short sentence or two, summarize the problem that you are trying to solve. You can refer
to page 252-261 in your text for more information on energy use.
