Materials
• 1 green, 1 blue, and 1 yellow sheet
• This means you have 8 of each type of
piece
• 1 pair of scissors (At Lab Station 8)
Modeling DNA
• DNA has the shape of a twisted ladder
• You have the pieces necessary to create 4
rungs of the ladder.
• Pay attention to the symbols and shapes on
your pieces. Remember, you are only making
4 rungs of the ladder.
• You have 3 different pieces that will make
ONE nucleotide.
• FIRST create all 8 of your nucleotides (exactly
like the image to the right) and then put them
together to form your DNA molecule.
• Glue to PG# 24
