While both men and women seek relationships they often desire the relationship for different responds. In Both marvell’s “To His Coy Mistress,” and Finch “Coy Mistress,” they show those differences through their word choice and figurative language. Also marvelle use a persuasive style while finch transformed the theme in to a more informative style of writing. In “To His Coy Mistress” by andrew marvell, he uses words like “adore” and “beauty” to try to persuade the reader. Throughout his writing he uses nice and flattering adjectives .However, in “Coy Mistress” by Annie Finch she uses a different style of word choice to inform the reader rather then persuade. Annie uses words like “Time” and “seized” in order to get her point across to the Reader. Marvell uses a lot of metaphors and hyperboles in his writing to make it more attractive and interesting. He writes about nature and romance to convince the reader to believe what the is saying. Finch transforms this idea by using more literal saying to inform the reader of what the thinks is true. In both poems they talk about the desire to be in a relationship. Finch transforms the theme of marvell's poem and its characters. The talk about why the want to be in a relationship fordiffrent reasons.
