President’s Letter
Hello All,
Well it is out! The 2015 Cheshire Newcomers & Neighbors Club Directory is finished
and printed. A HUGE thanks to Nicole Martone for putting this together. She
basically ran the whole project; getting sponsors, layout, design and printing. It was a
lot of work and it came out great!
The Directory is a big deal for our club. It is a fund raiser, since advertisers pay to be
included. It helps with marketing, since it is a tool we can pass along to businesses,
new members and anyone else who would have an interest in the club. There is also
a lot of useful information in the directory. Included in this year’s directory is an
update to the club antiquated bylaws. There were some old rules in the bylaws that
we had been sending out that just did not pertain to the current club. So again, a
special Shout Out to Kathy Walker in spending the time reviewing the bylaws and to
provide the necessary changes to make sure the club is in compliance.
There are a number of local businesses with services that have advertised in the
directory. We hope all club members will review the directory and support those
businesses that spent the money to support our club. We will be sending out the
Directory to the various advertisers, packages to new and potential members, along
with mailing them out to members who have renewed their club membership.
Reminder, club memberships are due now, so please if you have not renewed your
membership, please get that in to Havens Collins as soon as you can.
For anyone who has not renewed their membership please consider doing so soon.
We have a lot of great activities planned for the next month and there will continue to
be more coming up. We have days at Whippersnappers and Tae Kwan Do for the
kids, Dine-Out, a Comedy Night Event at the Funky Monkey and our Wine Tasting
for adults. We plan to continue with Boys and Girls Nights Out and additional
activities for families and kids. So, it is mid-winter and the football season is almost
over, so please check out the Newswire and see if there is something that would
interest you.
