(Teen Incentive Program)
The goal of Y-TIP is to break the cycle
of poverty for as many teens as
possible by saving lives, building
dreams, inspiring learning, and
providing impoverished teens with the
skills needed to compete in the global
marketplace.

Reach & Rise Mentoring Program
The Reach & Rise Mentoring Program
will engage youth, ages 6-17, who lack
positive role models and are in
communities challenged by social issues
such as poverty, crime, truancy, and
sub-standard housing.

SPORTS PROGRAMS
The Wilson-Gray YMCA "Let's Dance"
Program is a full school year length
dance program that runs from
September until June each year.
During this time, students learn and
improve upon their dance technique
and gain performance experience as
they gear up for special events and
the annual dance showcase. Classes
include, but are not limited to: ballet,
tap/jazz, hip hop, break dance,
liturgical, creative movement, drill
team and cheerleading; serving ages
3-18. Student must register no later
than the end of January to participate
in the June dance show case.
However, students can still join and
participate in jazz/tap, hip hop, break
dance, liturgical, and dance stars in
preparation for summer auditions or
to get a jump start on the next year.
Missed the deadline?
Don't worry! A summer intensive is
coming up for our September "Rising
Stars" showcase. Auditions will be
held on Monday, July 14th to
participate with our select
performance troupe for this special

YMCA Camp Dakota offers a summer
full of sports, games, swimming,
nature, music & drama, arts &
crafts, and new friendships. Each
session’s activities are planned
around a theme. We create a camp
experience that helps develop the
children of our future through
growth in spirit, mind, and body.
While providing a safe and fun
recreational environment, campers
will be exposed to many new and
educational activities. We will
continue to focus on our core values
of Caring, Honesty, Respect and
Responsibility. At the Wilson-Gray
YMCA Youth and Family Center, we
firmly believe these values are the
most important values in life, and we
teach them to the children attending
all of our programs.
YMCA Camp Dakota is located at the
Learning Corridor; 43 Vernon Street,
Hartford, CT 06106
Hours of Operation:
9:00am-4:00pm
Pre-Camp: 7:00am-9:00am
Post-Camp 4:00pm-5:30pm
Cost: $175 per session
1 week sessions:
June 16-August 15
(No camp on Friday, July 4th)
Bus transportation will be available
from Wilson-Gray YMCA to the
Learning Corridor at 8:00am and
from the Learning Corridor to
Wilson-Gray YMCA at 4:30pm.
