Outdoor Activities Ltd. is a new
and dynamic company that offers exciting adventure sports
and outdoor activities to a wide
range of participants across
many activities. All activities
utilise the natural environment
of the Blackwater Valley.
The company was recently established by Conor McCarthy following returning from Australia where he had been working as a guide with an outdoor activity centre. Conor has 22 years
scouting experience in the participation and organisation of outdoor activities. Conor has
previously received the National Scout award and was section scout leader for the 18th/19th
Fermoy for eight years. Conor has also worked for the World Scout Jamboree and the International Scout Centre in Kandersteg, Switzerland. In 2007 Conor received the Gold President’s Award / Gaisce from President Mary McAleese.
Blackwater Outdoor Activities Ltd. offers excellence in services through detailed knowledge
and in-depth understanding of the outdoors and possess the logistics to enable a trouble
and hassle free experience under the supervision of experienced guides with many years of
experience.

of activities to choose from.
We can tailor any activities on any day in any location to suit your needs. We cater for
small groups up to 12, day trips and overnight. For families, individuals, groups, sports
clubs, stag/hen parties, corporate, etc.

Explore the Blackwater Valley by kayak. Enjoy halfday and full day
kayaking trips on a choice of rivers. Choose from a variety of easy to
more difficult routes.
Experience the peaceful and tranquil waters of the lower Blackwater
or, for the more adventurous, the rushing rapids on the lower Awbeg.
You decide! All wetsuits and safety equipment supplied.
Get to know the Blackwater Valley better with a guided tour on foot.
Enjoy halfday or full day hiking options. Why not climb the region’s
highest mountains to experience the spectacular views.
Whether it’s joined with hillwalking or kayaking, or just going for a
camp we have it for you! Under the supervision of experienced guides
you will learn survival skills like Bear Grylls and Ray Mears.
All equipment supplied. All transportation provided. Food provided on overnight schedules,
lunches available on request for all other schedules. Group rates available, max 1-5 guide
participation ratio. Open all year.
Pre-booking essential. Activities range in duration from 3 hours to overnights. Prices are
dependent on activity and duration.
