I am glad to see that the News Letter
“Adi Shankara Dhwani” continues to be
published with all important events
under the auspices of ASIET.
I Congratulate all those who have taken
pains to bring out this issue also in time.
As we wished at the time of launching
the News Letter, “Adi Shankara
Dhwani”, its publication continues
without any interruption. I feel proud to
present this issue which includes the
details of all celebrations, academic
activities, cultural activities and social
activities during the academic year.

This newsletter is a compilation of the
endearing moments that we have gone
through at ASIET last year. When I look
back, it is a bag of mixed feelings, where
the optimist in me tells that we were
capable of doing much better but haven’t
done that quite so. The proverbial ‘miles
to go’ should spur all of us in the ASIET
family and help us realize our true worth.
Let the creative sparks ignited by these
pages bring in better sense and reason
in all of us, in the year to come.

As a rising star in the world of IT and a former student of Adi

I had already started establishing my own enterprise while in

simultaneously setting up offices in the countries. I was lucky that my professors

It gives me immense pleasure to be a part of this great institution.
On behalf of the Adi Shankara alumni association, I would like
to take this opportunity to thank the editorial team for their
efforts in putting together such a refreshing newsletter.
My association with Adi Shankara goes back to 15 years and I
am proud to be a part of the alumnus community who stay connected to form a
strong alumni network across the globe.
Our institution provides a platform for young talent to foster creativity and
innovation thereby making the best use of the opportunities ahead of them. I’d
like to end with a famous quote adapted from Winston Churchill, ‘Success is not
final, Failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts’ Wishing
success and good luck.

Hi all,
It gives me immense pleasure to deliver a alumni message for the
college news letter. Introducing myself - I’m Vaisakh Srinivas
from 2005-2009 IT Batch. Currently pursing Masters in Information Systems at Northeastern University, Boston-US. Prior to that
I had worked as Software QA Engineer at EMC India Pvt, Ltd Bangalore and had
finished M.Tech in IT-Networking from Vellore Institute of Technology.
ASIET family as such has given me a lot of fond memories both academically
and personally. Today what I’m is because of the foundation I got from this very
place. Each year ever since I graduated I have been visiting the college whenever I got time. I would also like to take the opportunity to express my sincere
gratitude towards the staff members who have played a pivotal role in building
my career thus far.
To the current set of batches I would like to convey that you have come to a good
institution and in hands of good faculties so make full utilization of that amidst
of all the fun outside academics. The outside market is getting really competitive each day. Being a student myself now I can vouch for it. So keep learning as
much as possible and always give your sincere best.
I would like to end this message with a quote “Unless you try to do something
beyond what you have already mastered, you will never grow”
Best Wishes to all.

To me, Adi Shankara has not just been an alma mater
where I earned a degree in engineering. Four well spent
years in this college has instilled a lot of virtues and
values in me that will come handy for a life time. In
addition to academic excellence, this campus offers a
lot of avenues to groom the talents of its students. Excellent support
from faculties and management makes it easy for students to pursue
their interests while ensuring that academics are second to nothing.
As proud alumni, I testify this from my own experience. During my
college days we were able to start an IEEE branch in our campus with
the wholehearted support of our principal S G Iyer sir and other
faculties. It’s really great to see the growth of the branch driven by
many active students over the past 3 years. Annual techno cultural
event ‘Brahma’ is one of the flagship events hosted by the college and
the role played by students to organize this fest is huge. I proudly
recollect my role in hosting the event in 2013 and I believe such
opportunities to groom my leadership skills have largely helped me in
my career. None of the activities I mentioned impacted my studies and
I graduated securing third rank in electrical engineering. It wouldn’t
have been possible without the relentless support and blessings of my
teachers. I sincerely thank all my teachers in ASIET for having given
us so much love and support. Without them, we wouldn’t have been
able to step out with so much courage and confidence to face the world
and live our lives the way we do.
