Dramatic advances in LED technology have broadened the
applicability of this type of illumination, creating an exciting
new option for hazardous, industrial and other highly
demanding locations. Compared to traditional incandescent
and HID technologies, LED light sources can deliver longer
life, enhanced energy efficiency, greater eco-friendliness,
lowered maintenance demands and equal or better quality of
light.

Dark Sky Compliant Light Distribution
The EV LED fixture’s full cut-off light
distribution is certified by the
International Dark Sky Association as
Dark Sky Compliant. This not only means
that virtually no light pollution will escape up
into the atmosphere, but also that the fixture was designed to
give maximum and efficient light output on the areas where
you need it most.
Wildlife Friendly Model
We’re committed to engineering safety and productivity throughout
your operation, but we also want to minimize the impact our
products have on the environment.
Newly hatched sea turtles, which rely on moonlight to guide them
to the safety of the water, can be directed away from the ocean due
to man-made lighting on the shoreline. These occurrences
drastically reduce the sea turtles’ chances for survival.
To prevent this, our enhanced EV LED and several other luminaires
from Cooper Crouse-Hinds can now be equipped with special
amber LEDs with wavelengths that cannot be seen by the turtles.
These luminaires provide the necessary lumen output for facility
lighting without impacting the natural migration and hatching of
sea turtles.

EV LED Series Luminaires
EV LED offers new solutions for old challenges.
The enhanced EV LED product offering provides the same durability and reliability of a traditional EV
incandescent or HID fixture, coupled with the low cost of ownership and energy efficiency of Cooper CrouseHinds LED technology. High-performance LEDs and a solid state electronic driver provide light where you need
it, at a fraction of the operating costs of HID and incandescent lighting technologies.
