Marinette, WI, USA
Founded in 1948, Ansul Fire School is located on a 350-acre (1.4 square kilometer)
campus in Marinette, WI, USA. Created to teach people how to use dry chemical
fire extinguishers, the school has since evolved and expanded to train more than
50,000 people.
The basic three-day ANSUL Fire School course includes a mixture of classroom and
field instruction in proper techniques of fighting 25 different types of flammable liquid
and gas fires, simulating actual hazards found in the industry.
Mexico City, MX
Built in 2013, this 3,300 square foot (300 square meter) education center provides
classroom courses covering water-based and special hazard systems and hands-on
alarm and detection education.
The facility is equipped with a discharge room to demonstrate the activation of INERGEN,
SAPPHIRE, and ANSUL R-102 Restaurant systems as well as spray patterns of various
TYCO sprinklers and nozzles.
Port Arthur, TX, USA
Located in the heart of America’s oil & gas corridor, TYCO’s newest operating facility
strengthens our position as a leader in fixed and portable suppression systems
manufacturing. Including advanced equipment testing and maintenance capabilities,
WILLIAMS FIRE & HAZARD CONTROL will also provide technical response and
equipment application training in the state-of-the-art training facilities.
Site location also maintains a strategic deployment advantage housing WILLIAMS ‘
largest cache of portable fire response equipment dedicated to protect oil & gas clients
throughout the gulf south and across the Americas.
Cranston, RI, USA
For over 30 years, this 4-acre (16,100 square meter) site has been TYCO’s technology
center for water-based fire protection and mechanical piping products.
In 2012, the 14,000 square foot (1,115 square meter) Frederick Grinnell Education Center
(FGEC) underwent a major renovation to expand the hands-on educational offerings
to include 16 fully functional riser assemblies, fire pumps, a special hazards training
section, mechanical products lab, fire demonstration cells and a water spray distribution
room. The FGEC is designed to provide a world class learning environment for anyone
involved with the fire protection industry.

// Intro to Water-Based Fire Protection
Geared toward someone new to the fire industry, attendees
gain an appreciation for the various systems and components
used in water-based automatic fire protection and fixed water
spray systems. Watch live fire demonstrations and a water
spray demonstration.
// Fire Protection of Storage Occupancies per NFPA 13
Learn how to identify the key components of storage occupancies
required to properly design an automatic sprinkler system in
accordance with NFPA 13. Full-scale fire test videos will be
shown and students will work on case studies designed to utilize the
tools learned throughout the course to develop acceptable automatic
sprinkler protection schemes.
// Residential Sprinkler Systems
This course will cover the components, design, installation, and
maintenance of residential sprinkler systems in one and two-family
dwellings and manufactured homes in accordance with NFPA 13D.

// Fire Pumps – Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance
Learn about the requirements and procedures for inspection, testing,
and maintenance of fire pumps and controllers in accordance with
NFPA 20 and 25 through extensive hands-on training on three
different pumps and controllers.
// Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance per NFPA 25
Limit your liability and learn about the requirements of NFPA 25 while
participating in valuable hands-on training on 16 different system
valves and associated components, three different fire pumps, flow
meters, relief valves, and water supplies (conduct hydrant flow tests).
Watch live fire demonstrations and a water spray demonstration.
// ANSUL Fire School
Learn how to properly fight fires through a mixture of classroom and
field instruction – with heavy emphasis on live hands-on firefighting
using cartridge-operated and stored pressure extinguishers, wheeled
extinguishers, and hoseline apparatus. Each student will learn proper
techniques while fighting 22 different types of flammable liquid and
gas fires simulating actual hazards found in industry.

// Foam Design School - ANSUL
This course is geared towards all personnel involved in the
specification, design, installation or commissioning of foam systems.
Students will learn about all areas of the design, equipment selection,
foam agent application, and installation of ANSUL fixed foam
systems for a variety of hazards in accordance with the appropriate
NFPA standards.
// Foam Service & Maintenance - ANSUL
Get an overview of the basic types of fixed foam systems and learn
about the correct service and maintenance procedures for the various
ANSUL systems through hands-on experience on foam testing
procedures, bladder tank filling and more. Live fire demonstrations
of AFFF, Class A, and High Expansion Foam, a tour of ANSUL’s
manufacturing facilities, and a demonstration of foam testing in
accordance with UL 162 test procedures is also included in this
course.

Service & Maintenance Certification
This certification course is for customers who inspect, service,
and maintain their own ANSUL extinguishers. The course
includes practical hands-on experience in inspection, service, and
maintenance of ANSUL Hand Portable and Wheeled Extinguishers.
// WILLIAMS FIRE & HAZARD CONTROL - XTREME School
The XTREME Industrial Fire & Hazard training event is a unique
opportunity for Industrial and Municipal firefighters to learn about
industrial-related fire scenarios involving flammable liquids and
gases. Classroom, field demonstrations and live fire exercises
illustrate: fire dynamics, incident logistics, response tactics, thinskinned and pooling fires, fuels-in-depth and 3-dimensional fire
scenarios.
