Cresnet® Control Cable
The Cresnet bus is the communications backbone for Crestron touchpanels, keypads, expansion
modules, tuners, and more. Cresnet is a simple, yet flexible 4-wire network that provides bidirectional communication and 24V power for Cresnet devices. With cable lengths up to 5000
feet, the Cresnet wiring topology allows almost limitless wiring configurations.
Crestron offers Cresnet control cable in three variations. Within a single jacket, Cresnet and
Cresnet-P furnish (1) pair 18 AWG for 24VDC and GND, and (1) twisted pair 22 AWG with shield
for control data. Cresnet-DM is designed specifically for use with Crestron CLW-series wall box
dimmers and switches, providing (1) twisted pair 22 AWG with shield for data only (no power).

CresCATTM QM QuickMediaTM Cable
The QuickMedia transport is Crestron’s revolutionary technology designed to provide a costeffective, high-performance signal routing solution for distributing high-resolution computer, video,
and audio signals utilizing a single CAT5 cable.
CresCAT-QM cable provides an easy, low-cost single cable solution to simplify the wiring of
QuickMedia-based systems. CresCAT-QM contains one low-skew CAT5e cable and one Cresnet
control cable in a single siamese jacket. Wiring for QuickMedia receivers, wall plates, and FlipTop
boxes requires installation of just one CresCAT-QM to each location.

Crestron’s CAT5 AV distribution technology takes advantage of inexpensive CAT5 structured wiring to
deliver a flexible and cost-effective solution for the distribution of audio, video, and intercom signals in
homes and small businesses.
CresCAT cable bundles high-quality CAT5e and Cresnet within a single jacket to facilitate fast and easy
wiring of systems utilizing Crestron’s AV distribution switchers, room solution boxes, and touchpanels.
Several versions of CresCAT are available to support a variety of applications.*
