IMPORTANT SAFETY
INSTRUCTIONS
Carlon’s Clip-On Candles are designed to work with Christmas tree
miniature light sets. When using electrical products, basic precautions
should always be followed including the following:
1. READ AND FOLLOW ALL SAFETY
INSTRUCTIONS.
2. For indoor use only.
3. This is a seasonal product and is not intended for permanent
installation or use.
4. Do not mount or place near gas or electric heaters, fireplaces,
candles or similar sources of heat.
5. Do not secure the wiring of this product with staples or nails, or
place on sharp hooks or nails.
6. Do not let lamps rest on the supply cord or on any wire.
7. Unplug the product when leaving the house, when retiring for the
night or if left unattended.
8. This is an electric product – not a toy! It should not be played with
or placed where small children can reach it.
9. Do not use this product for other than its intended use.
10. Do not hang ornaments or other objects from cord, wire or
light string.
11. Do not cover the product with cloth, paper or any material not part
of the product when in use.
12. This product is equipped with a push-in type plug. Do not twist plug.
13. Read and follow all instructions that are on the product or provided
with the product.

USE AND CARE INSTRUCTIONS
1. When the product is placed on a live tree, the tree should be well
maintained and fresh. Do not place on live trees in which the needles
are brown or break off easily. Keep the tree holder filled with water.
2. If the product is placed on a tree, the tree should be well secured
and stable.
3. Before using or reusing, inspect product carefully. Discard any
products that have cut or damaged, or frayed wire insulation or
cords, cracks in the sockets, loose connections or exposed
copper wire.
4. When storing the product, carefully remove the product from
wherever it is placed to avoid undue strain or stress on the product
conductors, connections and wires.
5. When not in use, store neatly in a cool, dry location protected
from sunlight.
INSTALLATION
1. For use with a seriesconnected string or
decorative outfit which
employs 2.5, 3.5, and
6-volt push-in type
lamps only, and which
complies with the
requirements in UL
588 or the equivalent.
2. Connect no more than
three ornaments to
each lighting string or
decorative outfit. After
hanging Christmas
tree lights on tree,
decide where you want to place candles.
3. Make sure tree lights are unplugged from electrical outlet.
4. Remove (pull) bulb from socket in light string. Do not twist bulb.
5. Replace with plug at the end of the Clip-On Candle by pushing into
socket. Do not twist. (If plug does not fit in light string Socket, follow
the Socket Re-Configuration instructions on back.)
6. Push up on clip (under candle) to open and place candle on tree
branch. Repeat steps 3 -5 for other candles.
7. Plug tree lights into electrical outlet.

1. Select a bulb on the
existing Christmas tree light
string for installation of the
clip-on candle.
2. Remove the plug base from the existing light string bulb. Do this by
straightening the two contacts and pulling off the plug base. Remove
the plug base from the clip-on candle using the same instructions
for the bulb.
3. Thread contacts from clip-on candle through holes in base from bulb.
4. After contacts have been individually placed in separate holes, bend
each contact back. The plug is now ready for installation.
CAUTION
To reduce the risk of overheating, replace burned out ornament or bulbs
promptly.
LIMITED WARRANTY
The product you have purchased is guaranteed against defects in
workmanship and materials for the period stated on the package.
Warranties implied by law are subject to the same time period limitation.
Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty
lasts, so this time limitation may not apply to you.
If the product fails due to a manufacturing defect during normal use,
return the product and dated sales receipt to the store where purchased
for replacement OR send the product and the dated sales receipt to:

Not Covered - Batteries, light bulbs, and other expendable items are
not covered by this warranty. Repair service, adjustment and
calibration due to misuse, abuse or negligence are not covered by this
warranty. Unauthorized service or modification of the product or of any
furnished components will void this warranty in its entirety. This warranty
does not include reimbursement for inconvenience, installation, set-up
time, loss of use, postage, unauthorized service, or other products used
in conjunction with, but are not supplied by, Lamson & Sessions.
All requests for replacement must include a dated sales receipt (copies
accepted). LAMSON & SESSIONS IS NOT LIABLE FOR LOST PROFITS,
INDIRECT, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL
DAMAGES INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY SUCH DAMAGES DUE
TO IMPROPER WIRING OR MISUSE OF THE PRODUCT. As some states do
not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential
damages, the above limitation and exclusion may not apply to you.
