With the historic city of Winchester only 5 miles away, Colden
Common offers an impressive choice of facilities to a thriving
community. This is a truly rural village that benefits from
excellent transport links.
Colden Common nestles between the South

west. The rolling chalk hills of the South Downs
provide breathtaking scenery and stunning
places to walk. It’s the chalk of this region that
gives the River Itchen the crystal-clear water
that provides habitats for protected species
such as water voles and otters.
Visitors to Winchester can choose to dine in
award-winning pubs or restaurants and shop in
a diverse range of independent stores and high
street chains. For entertainment, the city has a
long tradition of hosting festivals and staging
open air concerts and theatrical events.
The village has superb road links – the M3
