S.R. Electronics (USR) started its
activities in 1984 and has rapidly
become one of the leaders in the
EMS market – Electronic Manufacturing Services. The company provides outsourcing
services and Turn Key solutions to companies in
high-tech communications and the video, safety,
medical, industrial and cosmetics sectors in Israel
and worldwide.
In today’s demanding and dynamic market, USR
supplies dependable services and solutions precisely tailored for customer’s demands from the
development of new products and engineering services, managing production lines, electronics and
machining manufacturing, and through to technical
support, maintenance and testing.
USR, which is privately owned, has more than 600
skilled employees including the finest engineers,
technicians and additional professionals. The
company’s various departments are run by highly
professional managers who work together towards
a common purpose. USR operates at three sites
in Israel: production is carried out at advanced
factories in Karmiel and Jerusalem with a development center in Tel Aviv for mechanics, NPI and
engineering.

USR leverages its core capabilities and its major

assembly, engineering and production of electronics products from initial design through to supply
of the finished products and repair services after
the warranty period. USR operates production and
assembly lines especially for Turn Key customers,
which provide overall and efficient solutions as if
it were performed at the customer’s own site. All
production lines are supervised and controlled
from start to finish by a project manager who takes
responsibility for all aspects of the work and maintains a constant connection with the customer to
ensure satisfaction. USR provides its customers
with the best value Turn Key packages. Some Turn
Key customers are allocated a “production cell”
at USR in which all processes are performed including packing in their own section of the plant
from the moment that the batch is received from
SMT lines.

As one of the country’s leading electronic manufacturers, USR has the flexibility to manage every
project from its initial stages to NPI with engineering support throughout the product’s life including
DFMA implementation in the batch’s development

USR production processes are supported by process engineering which ensures that every stage
on the production line is completed to perfection
and in accordance with standards. Products Engineering – every project is allocated a production
engineer who builds a product chart using PDM
AGILE systems and is responsible for engineering alterations on the chart (ECO/MCO/DA’S) and
supervises all engineering aspects of the project.

USR has ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2004 certifications and ISO 13485:2003 approval permitting production for the medical industry. USR is
empowered to authorize employees according to
IPC-A-610 (electronic soldering from civil and military applications), which meets ROHS standards.

„„ Global Activities
To expand its capabilities and be closer to Far East
suppliers, USR has set up an excellent team for
mechanical and electronic outsourcing in Shenzen, Southern China. This source is approved and
supervised by an experienced local team and Israeli management, who directly handle customer
supply in Israel, Europe, USA and Asia. A support
center operates in Hong Kong, providing services
to customers and suppliers in the Far East through
purchase, logistics and finance departments.
