Congratulations Class of 2015!
Congratulations to the St. Rose of Lima School Class of 2015! We wish our 8th grade graduating students all the
best as they move on to high school. The students were awarded over $160,000 in scholarships to the high schools
that they will be attending. The graduates will be attending the following high schools: Audubon High School,
Bishop Eustace Preparatory School, Camden Catholic High School, Gloucester Catholic High School, Haddon

St. Rose of Lima School and Parish hosted the Third Annual St. Rose
Golf Outing this past May at the Woodcrest Country Club. We would

Class of 2011
Four Years Later
Members of the Class of 2011 - where are they now? Below some members of the Class of 2011 share their accomplishments, we wish them the best as they embark on college and their future endeavors.
Myranda Christy Myranda graduated from Haddon Heights High
School and plans to attend Rowan University and to play field hockey.
Myranda was a 3-sport athlete throughout her career at Haddon Heights,
playing field hockey, basketball and softball. She was the field hockey
co-captain, and received team MVP and first team All-Colonial
Conference honors her senior year. Myranda was also selected to play in
the Field Hockey Club of South Jersey Senior Showcase game. She was
co-captain for basketball and softball her senior year. At the graduation
ceremony, Myranda received the “Cap” Baker Award, the Denise PagliaGervasio Athletic Award, the Robert L. Hendrickson Award, and the
Haddon Heights Hockey Award..
Zachary Whalen Zachary graduated from Bishop Eustace Prep. He
was awarded a Presidential Scholarship to attend Widener University in
the Fall. He is enrolled in their Engineering Program.
Juliana May Juliana graduated from Audubon High School. She will
be attending Rowan University and will be studying Psychiatry. She
wold like to work with children and pursue a career on a Child Study
Team or in Guidance Counseling in Higher Education. She finished her
final semester of high school with distinguished honors.

Class of ‘09 excelling in College Sports
The Class of ‘09 has been excelling at sports at the college level for the
past 2 years. Here are a few highlights of some of our alumni. These
Anne Stevens attends Duquesne
University and is a member of the crew
team. Duquesne is part of the A-10
Division 1 conference. Anne has been racing in the Varsity 8 or the Varsity 4 boat.
They have traveled all over the east coast
and as far west as
Indiana to compete.
She is majoring in

Philip Livecchi is attending The College of New Jersey. He is a member of their football team, playing the position of Defensive Back. He is
majoring in Accounting with a minor in Management Information
Systems.
Morgan Harris attends Albright
College in Reading, PA with a dual
Shayla Sweeney attends Rutgers University where she is a pitcher for
their Division 1 softball team. Rutgers was in its inaugural year in the Big
10 conference. Rutgers finished the season 29-20, including a record of
major in Psychology and Early
Childhood Education, with the goal to
open her own daycare one day. Morgan
11-12 in the Big 10 Conference. This record was the second-most wins in
program history. Overall, Rutgers finished the
regular season ranked 7th out of 14 teams in the

Big 10 Conference. Shayla’s record was 6-2 (2-1

and Michigan State). Shayla looks forward to the
2015-16 season as a junior next year. She is
spending the summer at Rutgers taking additional
classes and preparing for the softball season.
Morgan also had the opportunity to play in a tournament in Puerto Rico
this past winter, where the team won their final game in double overtime.
Morgan works in the Office of the Dean for Student Life and is a member
of the POPS group which is a peer leadership group assisting with freshmen orientation and activities throughout the year.

Musical Notes
Our Drama Club put on another amazing performance this year with Willy Wonka, The Musical, directed by Mia
Reich. Over 80 students performed and participated in 3 performances. Thank you to all of the parents that
helped make the show possible! Congratulations to all of our student performers and our stage crew.
Sports News
Track
Basketball
Our Spring Track Team had a great season. Congratulations to to all
of the students. Congratulations to all of our student athletes including those that participated in the Meet of Champions. At the Penn
Relays our girls’ 4 x 100 team placed third and the boys’ 4 x 100 team
placed first! The relay teams received honors from the borough of
Haddon Heights for their achievements. Thank you to Coach Fesi and
all her wonderful volunteers for another amazing season!
Our girls and boys basketball teams were very successful this past
year. Thank you to Coach Jamie DeCastro and Coach Bonnie Stevens
and their assistant coaches for another great season. Our boys
basketball team were the Camden County Catholic League
Champions! Congratulations to all of our student athletes!

A Message From the Advancement Office
Jill Shaw ‘83 was recently inducted into the Camden Catholic High
Dear St. Rose of Lima Friends:
School Athletic Hall of Fame. Shaw was a 1987 graduate of Camden
The 2014-15 St. Rose of Lima School Annual Fund raised over
$67,000 this school year! We are extremely grateful for your
continued dedication to St. Rose School. The Annual Fund supports
every aspect of St. Rose – from technology and school programs to
building improvements and tuition assistance and scholarships.

member of their state championship softball team. She currently lives in
Massachusetts with her family and is an area program manager for the
Department of Children and Families as well as the head women’s
basketball coach at Bay Path University.
Our students accomplished amazing things this year including our
graduating class, they were awarded over $160,000 in scholarship
money to the high schools that they applied to. We are excited to
be a part of their many accomplishments. We strive each day to
make them well-rounded citizens that will make a difference today
and in their future. Our tradition is able to flourish with the
generosity of alumni, parents and friends to St. Rose of Lima School
Annual Fund.

school at Audubon High School. He received distinguished honors for the
school year.

Our Amazing Math Students!
This year, the Saint Rose of Lima junior high students participated in two math
competitions. In January, the following 7th and 8th grade accelerated math students
participated in the Ninth Annual Holy Cross High School Mathematics Competition:
