Overhead lines - sectionalizers
Sectionalizer is not rated to interrupt fault current
Each sectionalizer detects and counts fault current interruptions by the recloser. After
a pre-determined number of interruptions, the sectionalizer will open, thereby isolating
the faulty section of the circuit, allowing the recloser to restore supply to the other
non-fault sections.

Helps an equipment operator avoid mistakes ("mistake-proofing„), prevent incorrect
operation by the user
Mechanical, electrical and programmed interlocks

Earthing switch closing: associated circuit breaker must be open

bus system (A or B) as a feeder
