Examinations consisting of several parts can only be passed if all subjects receive a pass grade.
Final examinations and diploma examinations including more than one subject receive an additional
comprehensive assessment. This can be „BESTANDEN“ (pass) if all parts are positive and „NICHT
BESTANDEN“ ( fail).
The comprehensive assessment will be graded „MIT AUSZEICHNUNG BESTANDEN“ (pass with
distinction), when there are no subjects with a grade inferior than „GUT“ (good) and at least half of the
subjects are „SEHR GUT“ (excellent).
