Position: Quality Assurance Analyst
Location: Loves Park, IL
Position Summary:
The Quality Assurance Analyst’s role is to develop and establish quality assurance standards and measures
within the organization. This individual will test new and modified software using manual and automated test
methodologies. This includes developing test plans and cases while determining risk analysis and project
timelines. The QA Analyst will assist Technical Support or Engineering to research and resolve issues when
needed. They are responsible for the review of existing processes and to make recommendations on
appropriate changes to the quality assurance and testing process. This position reports to the Software Quality
Assurance Supervisor.

Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities for this position include the following:











Test software using best practice methodologies
Execute test cases, both manual and automated, for assigned areas
Provide and update complete test scripts and maintain a library of scripts for future use
Analyze current needs/requests and compare with existing system functions and requirements
Work within the timelines established for software development turnaround times
Provide support, both internal/external, resolving issues as needed
Maintain expertise in Cleo’s evolving software, related operating systems, and advances in
Information Technology
Report test results and defects utilizing appropriate departmental software programs
Review requirement specifications, attend review meetings, provide feedback, create test plans from
requirements, and present test plans for review and sign off
Ensure all business and technical requirements are covered by test cases
Prioritize test cases to ensure the highest risk and most important test cases are executed first
Qualifications Requirements:
Key qualification requirements for this position include the following:











High school diploma or equivalent
Associate’s degree or equivalent quality assurance experience
Two years software testing experience
Networking (TCP/IP, Routers, Firewalls, Proxy servers)
Strong data analysis and troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written in individual, group, and/or executive situations
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to work on multiple projects and handle multiple responsibilities
Strong ability to work under deadline pressure
Adaptable to work environment changes and rapidly changing technologies
Preferred Experience:
The following experience is preferred, but not required, for this position:







Familiarity with automated test tools
Experience with relational databases
Fundamentals of HTML, JavaScript, and XML
Basics of UNIX
Ability to write scripts or batch files
Familiarity with regression testing, stress testing and release processes
Certification in quality assurance testing
