The box design includes two vertical hinged doors that are removable to
allow full cable management access during installations. Two knock-out
cable entry ports on each side allow for easy trunk cable and horizontal
cable installation. Two-inch conduit may be installed on the horizontal cable
side. Wall-mounting screws and cable management rings are included.
3M Splitter Modules, 3M™ MPO Modules, adapter plates, patch cords and
cabling may be purchased separately.

3M™ Zone Enclosure 8451
The 3M™ Zone Enclosure is a lockable cross-connect or interconnect box
that is designed to fit above 2' x 2' ceiling tile or below floor spaces to
provide a central distribution point for passive fiber to the desk applications.
This lightweight, aluminum, powder-painted enclosure comes equipped
with a 19-inch 3RU mounting panel that can accommodate four 1x32
3M™ Splitter Panel Mount Modules or four 1x32 3M™ Splitter Rack Mount
Shelves. The mounting panel pivots, enabling easy access to the splitter
connections when working inside the enclosure. Cable management spools
enable extra cable to be stored out of the way.
Four knockout two inch conduit openings enable cable entry from three
sides of the enclosure. There are also pre-positioned drill points for cable
entry modification if needed. The enclosure is shipped with field installed
hardware brackets used in either ceiling or raised floor applications. Cable
clamps and cable ties are also included.

The design and metal construction of the enclosure complies with the intent
of Art. 300.22 Sub-clause (B) and (C) of the NEC and may be employed in
Air Handling Spaces.*
*To maintain compliance with Art. 300.22, all external cable must be plenum rated with metal
external fittings attached to the closure, and the enclosure must be fully shut to protect internal
components. You must determine, based on your use and the components you incorporate,
whether the final system complies with Art. 300.22
