published by Japan Society of Hydrology and Water Resources (JSHWR)
Thank you for submitting your contribution for publication. In order to expedite
the publishing process and enable JSHWR to disseminate your work, we need
to have this Copyright Transfer Agreement signed and SEND IT TO US WITH
YOUR MANUSCRIPT. If the Contribution is not accepted for publication by the
Editorial Committee of HRL, this agreement shall be null and void.
A. COPYRIGHT
1) The Author assigns to JSHWR, during the full term of copyright and any
extensions or renewals of that term, all copyright in and to the Contribution,
including but not limited to the right to publish, republish, transmit, sell,
distribute and otherwise use the Contribution and the material contained
therein in electronic and print editions of the HRL and in derivative works
throughout the world, in all languages and in all media of expression now
known or later developed, and to license or permit others to do so.
2) The Contribution should be an original which is not submitted to any other
refereed journal. The authors will not submit elsewhere before its disposition by
the HRL Editorial Committee. If the authors need to submit it elsewhere during
the review process, the authors must declare the withdrawal to the editor
before the submission.
3) Republication, posting, translation or other distribution or use of the
Contribution or any material contained therein, in any medium as permitted
hereunder, requires a citation to the Journal and an appropriate credit to
JSHWR as Publisher, suitable in form and content as follows: (Title of Article,
Author, Journal Title, Volume/Page, Copyright [year] JSHWR or copyright
holder as specified in the journal).
4) In order to photocopy any work, otherwise, from this publication, you or
your organization must obtain permission from the following organization which
has been delegated for copyright for clearance by the copyright owner of this
publication. JAPAN SOCIETY OF HYDROLOGY AND WATER RESOURCES c/o
International Academic Publishing Co. Ltd. (Kokusai Bunken) 358-5, Yamabukicho Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo 162-0801, Japan.
B. GOVERNMENT CONTRACTS
In the case of a Contribution prepared under US / UK / Japanese Government
contracts or grants, the US / UK / Japanese Government may reproduce,
without charge, all or portions of the Contribution and may authorize others to
do so, for official US/UK/Japanese Government purposes only, if the
US/UK/Japanese Government contract or grant so requires.
Authors are requested to submit this Copyright Transfer Agreement Form
signed by all authors (use appropriate blank space for multiple authors). This
agreement is effective on the date the paper is submitted.

US Government work
Note to US Government Employees:
A Contribution prepared by a US federal government employee as part of the
employee’s official duties, or which is an official US Government publication is
called a “ US Government work ” , and is in the public domain in the United
States. In such case, the employee may cross out paragraph A1 but must sign
and return this Agreement. If the Contribution was not prepared as part of the
employee’s duties or is not an official US Government publication, it is not a US
Government Work.
