REFLECT-A-BAY
Simkar’s Reflect-A-Bay™ Gen2 offering is the perfect complement to our broad
offering of industrial high bay products. Incorporating our unique spring latch,
swing down, one piece reflector system, the RG2 fluorescent high bay is offered
in both T5HO or T8 in four, and six lamp configurations. Coupled with a wide
array of options and accessories, RG2 is the perfect choice for manufacturing,
warehouse, retail or institutional applications, for new installations or retrofits.
• Spring loaded latches secure one-piece reflector for swing down
access into ballast chamber for toolless wiring
• Energy efficient – up to 50% energy savings vs. HID
• Chain, pendant, cable, hook, and surface mounting options
HOUSING Die-formed heavy gauge steel housing with
high-gloss baked white enamel finish over rust inhibiting
phosphate coat. Die-formed steel end caps with center 7/8”
KOs, and (2) 1/2" KOs, attaching via center interlocking tab
into housing, secured by 2 screws. Smooth housing edges
for ease of handling. Quick access plate located in center
of housing.
OPTICS Lamp tray combines sockets and reflectors; three
reflector material options are available. Two distributions
available; white reflector (wide distribution) and 87%
reflective specular aluminum reflector (narrow distribution).
95% reflective specular aluminum reflector optional.
ELECTRICAL Fully wired for 120-277V, 60 Hz AC operation
with ETL-CBM, thermally protected, automatic resetting,
Class P, sound rated A, programmed-start, electronic T5
HO or instant start T8 ballast. CEE and NEMA Premium T8
ballasts also available. The 4 lamp unit contains (1) 4-lamp
ballast as standard. The 6 lamp unit contains (1) 2-lamp
and (1) 4-lamp ballast. Rotolock sockets. Units suitable for
ambient temperatures up to 131˚ F (55˚ C).

ACCESS / WIRING Center quick access plate on top of unit
features 7/8" KO and allows access to ballast disconnect(s).
Two 1/2” KOs and one 7/8" KO per end cap. Reflector tray
and optional lens feature toolless, spring-loaded quickrelease latches that allow reflector and optional lens to
swing down independently to access ballast chamber.
