Vibration Performance
Showcased in a rugged stainless steel
TO-8 package, the PX4600 is at the
heart of many of our flight-certified
pressure transducers.
PX4600 Series
The small size and light weight of the
STARTS AT
PX4600 Series and typical MTBF
of 100,000 hours make them ideal for
$
tough vibration and shock environments found
in the harshest aerospace and industrial
environments. The unusually high
performance of this transducer comes
from the 4-active-arm-bridge sensor
using a micro-machined diffused silicon
diaphragm and proprietary thin-film
media and dielectric isolation
barriers. Laser-trimmed resistors provide
excellent temperature compensation
from -55 to 121°C (-65 to 250° F), and adjust
the zero balance and span to very tight tolerances. Custom
treatments, such as heat cycling and stress aging, are
available to further enhance the performance
of the PX4600 transducer.
Wetted Parts
The sputtered thin-film technology
is the core of our PX5000 Series
transducers. The strain gages are
molecularly bonded to a stainless
steel sensing beam, resulting in
all stainless steel wetted parts
and superior performance.
This technology, combined with
advanced assembly techniques,
typically has a long-term stability
of 0.1% for 18 months, a
combined static error band
(linearity, hysteresis, repeatability)
of 0.1%, and excellent shock
and temperature characteristics.
Certain models can operate
safely up to 175°C (350°F).
Showcased here in a stainless
steel case, the PX5000 element is
in many of our Mil-Spec qualified
transducers, such as the PX2421
and PX2471 marine transducers.
