Dear Valued Customer:
On behalf of Bernard and Tregaskiss, we want to share some important and exciting news about an upcoming
evolution related to these two brands. Currently, Bernard and Tregaskiss are owned by ITW and both offer
semi-automatic and robotic MIG welding products to the same industrial markets. This product overlap has
created unnecessary complexity and confusion for our distributors and customers.
To bring clarity and greater focus to each of these brands, we have decided to move all current semi-automatic
MIG gun products from Tregaskiss to the Bernard™ brand name. Similarly, all Bernard automatic and robotic
guns will be rebranded under the Tregaskiss™ name. Each brand will be repositioned as follows:
Bernard = semi-automatic MIG guns and consumables
Tregaskiss = robotic MIG guns, peripherals and consumables
This brand migration takes effect November 12, 2012 when we announce it to the general public at the
FABTECH 2012 tradeshow.
Please note that no MIG guns are being eliminated at this time – they are simply being rebranded. MIG
gun consumables, part numbers, features, options, and quality will remain the same.
To focus fully on each brand’s expertise, we are realigning our production teams and our facilities in Beecher,
IL and Windsor, ON to create centers of industrial MIG gun excellence. This new focus will allow the two
brands to bring to market more innovative MIG welding solutions to benefit your business.
We are also in the process of combining our Customer Service teams into a single point of contact for all
Bernard and Tregaskiss product inquiries and technical support. In early 2013, a new toll free phone number
for North America, and a new phone number for international customers, will be announced to reach this team.
We will also be launching a new dual-brand, tabbed website in November 2012 – a single location to visit for all
your industrial MIG gun information needs.
