Model Fuel-Gard
®
2" Monitor Filters
ELIMINATE THE NEED FOR OTHER WATER DEFENSE
DEVICES AND RECEIVE MAXIMUM WATER REMOVAL,
SOLIDS HOLDING CAPACITY AND SHUTDOWN PROTECTION
TO ASSURE CLEAN, DRY FUEL DELIVERY WHILE MEETING
THE LATEST A.P.I./I.P. SPECIFICATION
The new PECOFacet Models HFG(I) and FGH(I) Horizontal FuelGard monitor housings, equipped with either PECOFacet’s
Models FG or PS 2" (51 mm) OD monitor cartridges, continually
check the entire flow of fuel, not just mere samples, for water
or solids contamination. By performing three jobs, the Model
FG monitors assure clean, dry fuel. They absorb free and
emulsified water, remove ultra-fine solids even when surfactants
and fuel additives are present, and shut down the systems
flow when hit with a localized slug of water. In addition, the
Model PS monitors positively shut down system flow when
pressure drop across the cartridge exceeds 40 psi (276 kPa)
eliminating any possibility of media or water transmission while
also preventing the system being reused. They are designed
to flow from the outside to inside at a rate of 1 USGPM (3.79
lpm) per inch of length.
PECOFacet's Fuel-Gard monitor housings are built to ASME
Code, constructed of carbon steel, stainless steel or aluminium
and designed for maximum working pressure of 175 psi (12
Bar). They are available with or without the inter-lock safety
device. Housings fitted with the inter-lock safety device are
furnished with Model FG monitor cartridges. When inter-locks
are not required, either the FG or PS monitors can be used.
Both monitor cartridges meet and exceed the latest edition of
A.P.I./I.P. Specifications and Qualification Procedures for Aviation
Fuel Filter Monitors With Absorbent Type Elements.
PECOFacet's Model GNG monitor cartridges are interchangeable
with the Models FG and PS when MIL-M-81380C(AS)
requirements are desired.
