APPLICATION
WIRE CONNECTIONS
This product is intended for use with commercial door and gate
operators.
Your kit includes either one or two detectors enclosed in an
indoor/outdoor rated enclosure wired to the terminal block for
field connections. We recommend the the detector be used as an
open or safety/hold open only device when a vehicle passes over
an embedded loop wire installed in the ground connected to the
detector (loop sold separately). Requires two-wire output
connection to operator and either 115 Vac or 24 Vac to power the
detectors (see label).
1. Disconnect power: All electrical connections must be by a
qualified individual.
2. Power Wiring: Connect the proper voltage to terminals L1
and L2 in your loop enclosure.
3. Loop Wiring: Connect embedded loop wires to terminals
4 and 5 if single and the second embedded loop to terminals
9 and 10 if double.
4. Relay Contacts (to operator): Terminal location in the operator
will vary by model, refer to the field wiring diagram supplied
with your operator. If your field wiring diagram is missing,
please contact the provider of your operator. Connect terminals
1, 2 and 3 in field wiring diagram for the first loop and
terminals 6, 7 and 8 for the second loop if provided.
5. Reconnect Power to Operator and Detector:
IMPORTANT NOTE: Operator may start automatically when
power is applied.
Refer to the manufactures loop detector instructions for
detector set up. Verify intended functions are working as set
up for your application. Be sure the door path is clear of
obstructions while testing. Replace cover.
