Why this Workshop?
The EU Chemicals legislation of REACH (1907/2006) & CLP (1272/2008) is fully operational and the
first Registration deadlines & hurdles are taken. The REACH Registrations Dossiers & REACH
Compliance data (to be) provided via the extended Safety Data Sheets (eSDS) will be your license to
do business.
As such, maintenance of Registration dossiers, processing of incoming (e)SDS’s, interaction with your
product (e)SDS’s, REACH Compliance checks at purchasing & development of new products and
efficient supply chain communication are processes that interact on various levels within your
organization.
In most companies, meeting the first REACH Registration deadlines has been organized in centralized
project teams and has been a learning by doing process. REACH Compliance data via the eSDS will
come in at the local plants that need to comply within set time frames and will be enforced by
Member State Competent Authorities in the National language. Are your plants ready and trained?
