National Diploma In Business
Administration
(Level 5)
This diploma recognises the skills and knowledge expected of people who are, or are
seeking to work in business related roles.
The assessment includes:
• Working through a number of assessment activities that require:
•
Examples of work produced on the job using the skills being assessed
•
Some written short answers
•
Some longer written documents as in some unit standards like “Write a
Report”
•
Some verification forms from your supervisor
•
Verification forms from peers or staff members
•
Other workplace documents
The assessments can be done over a period of time and can be done in a paper based
manner or online). There is also capacity to present a portfolio of recent evidence for
recognition of current competence for some unit standards as long as all of the unit
standard’s requirements are met.
It is beneficial to break the work into manageable chunks that align with the activities you
currently do at work or the things you want to do at work. The assessment activities are
designed in a way that has you apply the theory to realistic workplace situations so you can
demonstrate your knowledge and skill in a contextualised and realistic manner.
