ADT- Alcohol Drug Technology provides a range of tailored training programmes for
workplace drug and alcohol testing.
Why do you need training and education?
A good knowledge of drug and alcohol use and testing methods will be beneficial for you and
your colleagues to fully understand the testing you are using. Whether it is performing
sample collection or understanding the results, a good foundation of training will ensure you
get the answers you need. We work with our customers to create a bespoke training package
that suits their requirements.
ADT training programmes
We aim to promote best practice for testing, for the benefit of both our customers and the
individual being tested. Our trainers are, bring a unique depth of knowledge to the content.
The training is designed to optimise the use of the chosen test method and increase the
understanding of the process. Topics such as the importance of quality control are included,
and special attention is paid to the significance of the results obtained. Our programmes are
fully documented, regularly reviewed and include an assessment of the effectiveness of the
training.
NZQA Unit Standards Based Courses
ADT – Manager Awareness Course US 22316
The content of this 4 hour awareness training is tailored to the audience, including managers,
staff representatives and others who have a responsibility associated with their company’s
drug and alcohol policy. This is an engaging course that promotes group discussion. The
course requires attendees to consider how they would approach various scenarios where drug
and alcohol misuse may have been a cause for concern, and to discuss with the group the
actions they would consider taking, in line with your company policy.
ADT- Workplace Drug Testing Course US 25458 & US 25511
This one-day course is designed to give employees responsible for policy implementation and
testing the qualification and tools to carry out drug testing according to their alcohol and drug
policies. Practical and real workplace scenarios included in training day.
The ADT Workplace Drug Test course meets AS/NZS 4308:2008 Procedures for specimen
collection and the detection and quantitation of drugs of abuse in urine.
As part of your course kit you will be supplied the CHL Laboratory Collection Kit and ADT
Onsite Urine Test Kits to carry out the practical component to the Standard. Full product
training given in both.
ADT also carry out in-house training, the benefit of this for companies is being able to carry
out the practical component of the course in their workplace environment. Contact Tania

ADT is in a sub-contracting agreement with Safety n Action, a private training establishment
registered with NZQA, to deliver and assess unit standards .This sub-contracting agreement
has been approved by NZQA. Unit standards are reported to NZQA by Safety n Action.

is designed for members of staff who have a responsibility associated with the policy, to give
workplaces the qualification and tools to carry out drug testing according to their alcohol and
drug policies.
This training course is intended to provide a broad understanding of issues surrounding the
misuse of drugs and alcohol in the workplace, and also specifically your company’s drug and
alcohol policy and testing practices, issues surrounding the misuse of drugs and alcohol. This
course also meets AS/NZS 4308:2008 “Procedures for specimen collection and the detection
and quantitation of drugs of abuse in urine”. The candidates will be accredited with US25511
& US25458
