INSTALLATION GUIDE
WARNING: ONLY QUALIFIED PERSONNEL SHOULD PERFORM INSTALLATION
TO AVOID ELECTRICAL SHOCK OR COMPONENT DAMAGE, DISCONNECT POWER BEFORE
ATTEMPTING INSTALLATION OF THE POWER SUPPLIES AND/OR MODULES.
Failure to install the luminaire in accordance with the National Electric Code (NEC), all applicable
Federal, State and local electric codes as well as the specific Underwriters Laboratories (UL) safety
standards for the installation, location and application may cause serious personal injury, death,
property damage and/or product malfunction. Designed for use in 120-277VAC, 50/60Hz protected circuit,
0
and 90 C rated supply wire.
Protective hand gloves and eyewear should be worn to prevent injury. Use only mild cleaning agents
such as warm soap and water and a soft cloth. Operating ambient temperatures 0 to 40 deg C.
Storage temperature -30 to 70 deg C.
These instructions are guidelines for installation of LED luminaires. Installation requirements may vary
depending on the application. Licensed electricians should provide all installation services for
connection for both primary and secondary (input/output) of the power supplies.
IGNORING A HAZARD WILL VOID ANY WARRANTY
Product is designed for Indoor Dry Location only installations.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: THE OSRAM RLS22 LED 2X2
FIXTURE IS FOR NON-INSULATED GRID (Standard 15/16” TBAR) CEILING APPLICATIONS ONLY. TYPE NON-IC
INSTALLATION ONLY. NO INSULATION MAY BE PLACED
WITHIN 3” (76mm) OF ANY PART OF THE LUMINAIRE. FOR
INDOOR INSTALLATION ONLY. SUITABLE FOR DRY
LOCATIONS ONLY. SUITABLE FOR SUSPENDED CEILINGS. DO
NOT PUSH UP ON FIXTURE DIFFUSER DURING INSTALLATION.
STEP 2: CAREFULLY BEND THE INTEGRATED EARTHQUAKE
CLIPS (4) AWAY FROM THE FRAME TO 45-60 DEG (AS SHOWN
BELOW) AND LOWER THE LUMINAIRE INTO THE T-BAR
CEILING PANEL.
STEP 1: CAREFULLY REMOVE THE FIXTURE FROM ITS
SHIPPING BOX.
STEP 3: AFTER THE LUMINAIRE IS SECURED IN THE CEILING
T-BAR GRID, BEND THE INTEGRATED EARTHQUAKE CLIPS (4)
TO 90 DEGREES.
STEP 4: IF LOCAL CODE REQUIRES THE USE OF
CABLES/WIRES TO SECURE THE LUMINAIRE TO BUILDING
STRUCTURE, USE THE HOLES THAT ARE ADJACENT TO EACH
OF THE FOUR EARTHQUAKE CLIPS.
STEP 7: IF DIMMING IS NOT REQUIRED THEN DO NOT
REMOVE THE DIMMING WIRE CAPS AND SKIP TO THE NEXT
STEP.
REMOVE A SECOND TRADE KNOCK-OUT FOR THE DIMMING
WIRES. THE DIMMING WIRES AND POWER WIRES CAN NOT
BE RUN THROUGH THE SAME KNOCKOUT; AN ENTRY/
KNOCKOUT SEPARATE FROM THAT OF THE BRANCH CIRCUIT
MUST BE USED FOR THE ENTRY OF THE DIMMING CIRCUIT
CONDUCTORS. CONNECT THE 0-10V DIMMING WIRES AS
SHOWN IN THE WIRING DIAGRAM BELOW.
STEP 8: RE-INSTALL THE ACCESS PLATE.
STEP 9: REMOVE FOAM SPACERS HOLDING DIFFUSER IN
PLACE FROM THE CORNERS OF THE FIXTURE’S REFLECTOR
BLADES. SEAT THE DIFFUSER INTO PLACE.
STEP 5: REMOVE THE ACCESS PLATE TO ACCESS THE WHITE
AND BLACK WIRES. THIS FIXTURE IS DESIGNED TO OPERATE
OVER THE UNIVERSAL VOLTAGE RANGE (120-277VAC) .

STEP 6: REMOVE THE DESIRED TRADE KNOCK OUT.
CONNECT THE LINE POWER CONDUIT CABLES AS SHOWN IN
THE WIRING DIAGRAM BELOW.
