MARKET LEADERS
The Commercial Leadership Program (CLP) was created to provide early career
talent with broad exposure to the Sales and Marketing functions through three
one-year rotations, which in turn will help develop future leaders.
We are looking for students like you to enter our company and climb the Sales
or Marketing ranks at Cooper. We will provide you with exposure to senior
leadership, training and development, as well as robust assignments that
give you experience in a variety of Sales and Marketing areas, divisions and
locations.
YOUR ASSIGNMENTS—IF YOU CHOOSE TO ACCEPT
The Commercial Leadership Program is designed to build on the technical
skills of its participants by exposing them to experienced Cooper professionals
through three assignments located at a manufacturing location, the Corporate
Office or a Division Headquarters Office.

ASSIGNMENT OVERVIEW
Field Sales
• Develop and maintain customer relationships through the utilization of sales tools
• Balance customer and channel requirements to deliver world class customer service
Inside Sales
• Own the quotation process from inquiry to order
• Collaborate directly with outside sales team, independent sales agencies, engineers, and end-users
Product Management
• Partner with engineering, operations and sales teams to develop and launch new products
• Execute on multi-generational product plans
• Drive business initiatives through execution of strategy for product area
Customer Service
• Create process improvement projects to decrease customer response times, increase information accuracy and provide
first-call resolution
• Coordinate customer’s service requirements with appropriate department for resolution

• Design and implement both digital and traditional media strategies
• Produce value propositions that resonate with customer segments
TRAINING
As a supplement to the day-to-day experiences gained during the rotational assignments, Cooper conducts in-depth training
workshops for all CLP participants. These workshops are taught by experienced Cooper leaders who provide insight on a variety
of topics.
ARE YOU QUALIFIED?

Undergraduate degree in engineering or related technical field; business minor preferred
Relevant sales or marketing experience; manufacturing experience is a plus
Proven leadership experience
Strong analytical, leadership and communication skills
Must be willing to relocate a minimum of three times in three years
