ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
The Sediments Conference series is a forum for sharing research results, practical experiences, and opportunities
associated with remediating, restoring and managing the environmental and economic vitality of waterways.
Maintaining the viability of these aquatic systems requires complex actions that affect a diverse group of
stakeholders and raise a wide range of environmental, economic, political and social issues.
The 2017 Sediments Conference will be designed for and presented by scientists, engineers, regulators,
remediation site owners, constructors, and other environmental professionals representing universities, government
agencies, consultants, and R&D and service firms from around the world. The program will reflect the growing
knowledge that better management of contaminated sediment systems is the key to success.
Battelle has presented this premier international technical conference since 2001.
The Sediments Conference will take place January 9-12, 2017. We are pleased to be returning to the historic and
exciting city of New Orleans, Louisiana. The venue will again be the comfortable and spacious Sheraton New Orleans.
