Eliminate the Wait - No more checks!!
Beginning in January 2012, WATC will no longer issue refund checks for students who have a credit on
their student account due to financial aid and/or dropped classes. It is mandatory that students sign up
for one of our electronic refund methods. That’s right; you will now be able to get your refund quicker
and easier! You, the student, have two options for getting this refund electronically:
YOU MUST CHOOSE AN OPTION OR RISK NOT RECEIVING YOUR REFUND
Option 1:
If you would like your refund to be automatically deposited into your bank account please follow the
steps below:

Logon to your Firefly account (https://firefly.watc.edu)
Click on the Student tab
Click on the link within the eRefund Options channel
Click on Option 1 – Direct Deposit and follow the instructions
Option 2:
If you don’t have a bank account (Option 1 above) you need to sign up for a Commerce DirectCheck
Card. Once you sign up a card will be mailed to you. Then, when you have a refund issued to you the
money will be available and ready to use on the card. For more information on this please visit
www.checkmypaycard.com.
If you opt for the Commerce DirectCheck Card option you MUST complete the information on Page 2
of this form.

Authorization for Electronic Entries to Commerce DirectCheck Card
The undersigned hereby authorized Wichita Area Technical College (the College) to make electronic deposits and
any necessary adjustments involving these entries in the account identified below at Commerce Bank, N.A. (the
Bank) and authorizes the Bank to accept such entries and make any necessary adjustments. It is agreed that these
entries will be made under the rules of the National Automated Clearing House Associations. This authorization
will remain in effect until written notice of termination is delivered to the College in a timely manner so as to
afford the College an opportunity to act thereon. In no event shall such termination be effective as to entries
processed prior of such notice.
