Talented Students Scholarships Program
Abu Dhabi Government is keen to upgrade the
qualifications of UAE nationals and harness their
capabilities, and to this end Abu Dhabi Education Council
offers a Scholarship program and a Study Leave Program
to UAE students and Abu Dhabi Government employees in
order to develop future leaders who can drive the socioeconomic development of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
The ADEC Scholarships and Guidance Division – Higher
Education Sector, helps develop the national human capital
required to meet labor market needs through the graduate
and post-graduate scholarships which are granted based
on certain criteria inline with the policy set by the division.
In addition, all aspects related to the program are managed
by the division; These include program development,
criteria setting, coordination with the scholarship
committee, following up on financial and academic matters
and other issues during the course of the student’s study
until the degree is granted.

Description
ADEC offers this scholarship program to top
performing Emirati high school graduates
and university students to allow them to
study in majors most needed for the growth
and sustainability of the Emirate of Abu
Dhabi.

Eligibility
G12 graduates:
Requirements • Must be a UAE national
• Must not be older than 24 years
• Must score 85% or higher in secondary
school certificate or equivalent
• Must pass the interview and tests
required by ADEC
• Must obtain an admission acceptance
letter into an academic institution/Major
approved by ADEC
University Students:
• Must be a UAE national
• Must not be older than 24 years
• Must have completed a minimum of 30
credit hours in university/major approved
by ADEC
• Must have a minimum GPA of 3.00 from
4.00
• Must pass the interview and tests
required by ADEC

Benefits and
Allowances
In UAE:
• A monthly stipend of AED 6,250 for each
single scholar and AED 6,875 for each
married male scholar
• A remuneration equals to a two-month
stipend if the scholar achieves a GPA of
3.60 for each 30 credit hours completed in
an academic year
• All tuition fees are covered if scholar is
studying in a private university approved
by ADEC
Abroad:
• All Tuition fees will be covered
• Travel arrangement costs of AED 6,000 in
addition to a computer allowance of AED
5,000 to be paid once only
• A monthly stipend of USD 4,000
• A monthly accommodation allowance of
USD 1000 for each single scholar and USD
2000 for each married scholar
• Two economy class round trip tickets
per academic year for the scholar and his
accompanying family members
• Extra two economy class round trip
tickets for first-degree family relative
accompanying single national female
scholar and a daily stipend of USD 150 for
90 days only
• Textbook allowance of USD 1000 twice
per academic year
• Medical insurance
• Remuneration equal to a two-month
stipend if the scholar achieves a GPA of
3.60 for each 30 credit hours completed in
an academic year
