The A1 level comprises levels A1-a and A1-b.
From the 2007-2008 academic year these levels will be replaced by the Macmillan
English Campus or MEC, an online interactive package of English courses which
enables students to study on their own. This form of learning does not include
traditional classroom learning with a teacher but a native speaker tutor is available to
help students with any language problems they may have.
