Position Description: The Visitors Center is a light temporary structure located at the site of the Stavros
Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (Esplanade), which opened in October 2013. The Visitors Center
serves multiple functions: as a place for visitors to view the construction site and learn specific details
about the SNFCC, its history, its role, its structure, its purpose and mission and its future, as well as a
location for public exhibits and other events relating to the construction of the SNFCC.
As an SNFCC VC Intern you will have the unique opportunity to participate in a world-class project in Greece
and contribute to the organization and management of events and programs that will be potentially
applied in the future Cultural Center currently under construction.
The intern supports all programmatic & public engagement activities, as well as the organization of events
that take place at the SNFCC VC. She/he will assist the SNFCC Programming & Production Manager with the
logistics and daily operation of the Visitors Center.
Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities:
The internships are open to individuals that hold an undergraduate degree in any academic background
(with preference in Education or Media & Communications).
Qualifications
• Excellent ability in managing front-end operations
• Experience with front of house/reception services will be a plus
• Experience in the field of education will be a plus
• Literacy in MS Office (Word, PPT, Excel) and Internet
• Experience in event planning activities is a plus
• Excellent knowledge of English is required

operations)
Main Responsibilities
• Welcome & support daily visitor service
• Assume responsibility of various aspects of the operational status of the VC (e.g. back-end operations)
• Present and maintain a high level of customer service at all times
• Interpret visitor needs and visitor satisfaction in order to assist in the development of VC policies &
procedures
• Assist in the evaluation of activities and contributing to the development of new ideas and events at the
VC
• Assist in the implementation of the engagement strategy of the Visitors Center
• Provide digital media support
• Support the VC’s events via programing marketing
• Support VC programing and engagement meetings/events
