R.C.I.A. class will be at 7:00 p.m. in the Parish Office.
P.S.R. classes Kindargarten through sixth grades 3:30 p.m. until 4:30
p.m. Seventh & Eighth grades meet at 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
S.P.Y. Class will meet from 6:45 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.
LOAVES & FISHES FOOD PANTRY
The Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry will be collecting food and nonperishable items EVERY
Saturday and Sunday. Baskets will be left in the vestibule of the Church for your convenience.
Please remember those who have very little. One canned good/item from each family one
weekend a month can make a difference. Food Pantry is open on Mondays 9:00 a.m. to 12:00
noon and Fridays 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The next dates for St. Patrick’s Church to work the
Food Pantry is Monday, Oct. 29th, and Monday, Nov. 26th.
ATTENTION: LADIES & GENTELMEN
St. Patrick’s church is needing more Ushers to seat people and take up the collection at the
Masses. Anyone interested please call the Parish Office 562-5396.
SACRED HEART SCHOOL ALUMNI LIST

down and turn it into the Parish Office. Our Alumni list is very minimal and we could use your
help.

MOTHER OF DOLORS CATHOLIC CHURCH
FALL FESTIVAL
Mother of Dolors Catholic Church in Vandalia IL is having its Annual Fall Festival and
Chicken Dinner on Sunday October 7th from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Parish Center, 705 W.
St. Clair St. The menu includes Fried Chicken, Potatoes and Gravy, Homemade Noodles, Corn,
Green Beans, Slaw, Applesauce, Homemade Dessert and Drink. Cost is Adults $8.00, Children
$4.00 and Children 4 and under free.
P.S.R. NEWS
You are invited. P.S.R. classes are in session. Caring and faith filled teachers are ready to help
your child continue what you teach at home. Classes are from 3:30 until 4:30 p.m., Wednesday,
in the Parish Hall for children in kindergarten through sixth grades. Seventh and eight graders
meet in St. Bernard’s Hall from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesdays. If there is a problem,
please let us know so that we can work on it. Please call Pat McDonald at 823-1728 if there is a
question or problem.

Morrisonville Knights of Columbus will host Garlic Fest II on Sunday, October 28th from 12:30
p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tickets are $8.00 in advance and $10.00 at the door. There are tables for 8 $55.00 in advance. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. and meal will be at 4:00. Menu includes Sausage,
Mostaccioli, Garlic Bread and slaw. Dance to the Music Men from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and

CHICKEN & NOODLE AND SALAD SUPPER
AT THE FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH
Mark your calendar for this United Methodist Women’s annual event! The Chicken & Noodle
and Salad Supper will be on Wednesday, October 17th at 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. At the First
United Methodist Church at 619 Kitchell St., Pana, IL. The cost is Adults $6.50, Children 6-12
$3.00 and Children under 5 eat for free. Please bring your friends and family to ahare this meal
and fellowship.

CEMETERY RULES & REGULATIONS
Ground decorations, when allowed, shall be in unbreakable and shatterproof containers. The use
of wire to secure decorations of any kind will not be permitted.

The planting of trees, shrubs and flowers shall not be permitted. The use of stone and decorative
edging will not be allowed. The use of statues and votive candles is discouraged. The use of
temporary grave markers will not be allowed, nor any grave marker made of wood, steel or other
materials that have a short life span.
THE RULES AND REGULATIONS WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED SO ANY
GROUND DECORATIONS THAT ARE NOT REMOVED WILL BE DISCARDED.
S.P.Y. CHILI SUPPER
The S.P.Y. Class will host a Chili Supper on Wednesday, October 17th at the Knights of
Columbus Hall. Menu includes: Chili, Hot Dog, Dessert and Drink. The cost is Adults $6.00,
Children $3.00 and a dine in all you can eat Special for $10.00. Carryout are available at the
back of the Knights of Columbus Hall with drive up service.
PANCAKE & SAUSAGE BREAKFAST
St. Patrick’s Church Annual Pancake and Sausage Breakfast will be held Sunday, October 28th
serving from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Parish Hall. All you can eat pancakes, sausage,
biscuits and gravy are available to our dine-in guests and carry-outs will also be available.
Proceeds benefit Sacred Heart School. If you would like to make a donation to assist with pork
sausage expenses for the Pancake and Sausage Breakfast, please contact the Church Office at
562-5396 or contact Craig Deere 823-2234.

Please remember Sacred Heart School is still collecting Box Tops for Education, empty ink jet
cartridges(no generic cartridge please), old cell phones, Campbell’s soup labels, plastic lids,
