Award
In a career spanning 20 years, Adam was widely known and
respected throughout the industry, from starting Strata in the
mid-1990’s, to more latterly Business Development Director at
Mouchel .
Adam was passionate about encouraging people starting out in their careers to get
involved in their profession by sharing their knowledge and experience through papers
and presentations. He saw it as an important step in building self-confidence,
communication skills and engaging with the wider profession. Many of those who
worked with Adam have benefitted significantly from his example and his
encouragement in this regard.
The Adam Dean Award is aimed at encouraging those yet to take the big step of
presenting at a conference to develop a poster presentation to be displayed and
presented to a judging panel at the 2016 CIWEM UDG Autumn Conference in Blackpool.
Applications are invited from those with under four years experience, and should take
the form of a 200 word summary. The selection of up to seven finalists will made using
the following criteria:

Demonstrate clear understanding of the project needs and benefits to client,
environment or community;
Understanding of technical challenges and / or any innovation;
Outline individual’s direct contribution to the project;
What has the individual gained from their involvement and how will they apply this
in their careers.
