Admissions - You can obtain an Admissions Form at any Central Arizona College location or apply online at www.centralaz.edu and
click on Apply Now.
Apply for VA Education Benefits - Before you can start using your VA education benefits, you must be approved by the Department of
Veteran Affairs. You can complete and submit your VA education benefits application online at www.vabenefits.vba.va.gov/vonapp.
Please make a copy of your application to provide to your school Certifying Official.
Transcripts - You must submit all copies of transcripts including military and/or higher education institutions. Unofficial transcripts may
be submitted to School Certifying Official. Official transcripts should be submitted to Registrar’s Office for evaluation.
Financial Aid - Apply for Financial Aid by visiting www.fafsa.ed.gov. CAC’s Financial Aid Department can assist you with filling out
your FAFSA, contact them at 520.494.5425 or via email at finaid@centralaz.edu. CAC School Code is 007283
Student ID - Get your Student ID at the Signal Peak, Maricopa, San Tan, Superstition Mountain, or Aravaipa Campus.
Placement Testing - Student seeking a degree and or certificate may be required to take a placement test.
Mandatory Advising - Students must meet with an Academic Advisor before each semester of enrollment to obtain a signed Master
Academic Plan.
Orientation - Register online by visiting www.centralaz.edu and clicking Attend an Orientation.
Register for Classes - Upon completion of meeting with an Academic Advisor you will be ready to register for classes. Before your school
Certifying Official can certify your enrollment with the VA to start your benefits, you must be registered into classes.
Book Voucher - You can request a book voucher if needed. Vouchers are available the week prior to the start of the semester until
the first drop period of the semester. Please meet with Veteran Representative to have a Promissory Note issued to you. Please
note you are financial responsible for paying back the voucher.
Submit VA Paperwork - Your application packet should include a copy of your VA education benefits application, students
DD214 (not required for dependents), VA Certificate of eligibility (COE), CAC certification request form, current schedule of
classes, and degree checklist/master academic plan (MAP). All this material needs to be submitted to CAC School Certifying
Official (SCO).
Enrollment Changes - Please note that you must contact your CAC VA Certifying Official any time you make adjustments to your schedule
of classes. If you add, drop, withdraw, or are scheduling into a new semester, you must notify your school Certifying Official immediately.
