Please turn over for directions to some trickier rooms...
Single letter (A, B, C, D, or E) + number
e.g. C16 = East Wing, Floor C, Room 16
 From Strand building entrance go straight ahead ahead past the drinks machine and the stair
case running down on your left, turning left (crossing the foot of the stairs) into a corridor.
 Go up the short flight of stairs at the end of this corridor
 At the top, turn right and go through a door into a concrete staircase.
 You are now in the East Wing, with different floors denoted by letters A to E.
2A ChB = Cheshire Building, Room 2A
 From Strand building entrance go straight ahead into the King’s building corridor.
 About half way down, just after the entrance to the Great Hall (which is on your left), on your
right you’ll see stairs going down.
 Go down one flight. At the bottom, continue straight ahead (crossing a long corridor stretching
to your left and right) into a short corridor which ends in a flight of stairs.
 Follow this corridor (it turns right as you go up the stairs, then it turns left).
 You’ll find yourself in a small room with a red letter-box in it and several entrances
 Turn right, entering the landing of an ornate ironwork staircase.
 Take stairs down one flight, do a left u-turn through double doors and go down one more flight
of stairs.
 Room 2A is straight in front of you with a bright green door.
332N = Norfolk Building, Room 332
The best way to find this room is to enter the Norfolk Building via Surrey Street.

However the Surrey Street entrance is security protected, requiring you to swipe your student card
to enter the building. Your student card will be automatically linked to enable you to open this door,
but not until around week 3 of your first year at the College.
Indoor route to 332N:
 Take the stairs UP one flight.
 On the first landing, continue straight ahead through the double brown doors (sign above doors
says ‘D Floor’)
 Follow the narrow corridor as it turns left, passing next across the landing of a staircase (which
has wooden banisters), through a green door onto another landing with orange carpet
 Go down the short flight of stairs before you, continuing straight ahead into the Norfolk Building
(pink carpet).
 You will come to a staircase with mosaic tile landings and ornate ironwork. You are now on the
first floor of the Norfolk building.
 Go up the stairs to the third floor and straight ahead through a door off the third-floor landing;
room 332N is immediately to your left (it has ‘American Studies’ on the door).
