Dear partners all over the world:
We are so happy to share this great news with you. Your students can obtain experience in Asia this
summer with low cost and convenient scheduling. We have organized a summer school program
emphasizing the High Technology and High Tradition of Taiwan. As a partner university, your students
can receive discounted rates, course credit, and our hospitality.
Four national universities, National Chung Hsing University, National Chung Cheng University,
National Cheng Kung University, and National Sun Yat-Sen University, in central and south Taiwan, have
formed a strategic alliance-the Taiwan Comprehensive University System (TCUS). We are committed
to sharing academic resources and working on providing quality higher education options. With this
commitment, we are organizing an International Summer School (ISS) based on the different strengths of
four members.
The Summer of Taiwan Study will:
Provide 67 English-taught academic courses (with credits) in cross-disciplines
Invite 21 overseas outstanding scholars from the USA, Europe, and Asia
Arrange field trips and cultural activities to experience Taiwan deeply
Offer Chinese language courses
Host students from all over the world in four cities / campuses
Last for 3 sessions (1st: 2013July17-30; 2nd: 2013July31-Aug.13; 3rd: 2013Aug.14-27)
We look forward to welcoming your students in Taiwan from July17 to Aug.27. Students can have
fun and benefit from taking academic courses in the four cities.
