E-therm is a “4 in 1” solution replacing traditional foil sarking, bulk fibre and acoustic insulation while also acting as a thermal break with one easy application. With the innovative and superior foam technology that is incorporated in the product, E-therm will achieve the “Thermal Break” requirement set by the Building
Code of Australia when used on buildings with steel framework.
E-therm is made using high quality materials and incorporates a bimetallic highly reflective aluminium film that sandwiches a low conductive layer of low density closed cell polyethylene foam.
This foam has a very low rate of conduction effectively reducing the amount of heat transmission into the building.
E-therm works by reducing heat transfer in 3 ways:
1. Reflectivity: E-therm reflects up to 97% of radiant heat back to its source to ensure you are kept cool in summer and warm in winter. By re-radiating heat, E-therm keeps energy loss to a minimum, reducing heating and cooling costs.
2. Low Conduction: The specially developed foam reduces heat transfer through closed cell air pockets.
3. Low Convection: E-therm traps still air and reduces the event of convection occurring.
Whilst E-therm boasts great thermal performance in many applications the product also contributes to minimising the amount of noise transmitted through common building structures such as roofs, walls and floors. The acoustic performance is one of the highest amongst the reflective foil insulation products that are available.
E-therm has been independently tested with a very respectable
Standard Transmission Class rating of STC12. E-therm will effectively eliminate 12 decibels in any given application. This helps protect you against rain noise, aircraft noise, traffic noise and neighbourhood noise.

E-therm is fibre-free, non-toxic and non-allergenic. This presents a clean, safe and effective alternative to more conventional types of insulation that can lose their effectiveness over time. Being fibre-free and non-itchy, E-therm is quick and easy to install and is rated ‘Extra Heavy Duty’ for maximum strength and durability.
E-therm also acts as a vapour barrier reducing the passage of moisture and dust particles into the roof and wall cavities.
E-therm has been tested to the latest Australian Insulation
Standard AS/NZS 4859.1 and is fully compliant with the Building
Code of Australia.
E-therm is also designed to help fire-proof your building, and is suitable for Bush Fire Prone Areas having been tested to AS/NZS 1530.2
While E-therm offers effective reductions in cooling and heating costs, it also delivers further costs savings in product material.
When installing other similar products, in most cases you are required to overlap the product, causing a loss of around 3m 2 every roll. This means you need to purchase an extra 10% of product than the square metres actually required.
Now with E-Therm’s solution the overlap is provided for you, gone are the days of buying 30m 2 but only getting 27m 2 coverage. Using E-Therm’s unique overlap piece gives an extra 10% coverage on every roll, so when you buy 30m 2 of E-Therm you get 30m 2 coverage.
