therapists, and others who come to the Arbors to provide
direct care to each resident.

Whether its breakfast, lunch or dinner, there’s always
something good to eat at The Arbors. And with our
restaurant-style dining, there’s the daily opportunity for
sharing meals with good friends.
The Arbors’ culinary staff is focused on keeping residents’ tastes
in mind. Input is important, and caregivers are encouraged
to give recommendations on meal planning. Have a favorite
recipe you’d like to share? We feature menu items based on our
residents’ favorites, right along with the chef’s specialties.

Daily Life
On-site Healthcare Healthcare professionals visit on-site,
including a primary care physician, psychiatrist, podiatrist,
audiologist, dentist, physical/occupational therapist,
chiropractor and more.
Activities Enrichment Program A variety of activities are
available throughout each day at The Arbors. Our speciallytrained staff plans activities that stimulate a resident’s
physical and psychological capacities, and helps them
maintain an overall state of wellbeing.
Safe Environment Our open, yet secure environment offers
safety without restriction. The Arbors’ state-of-the-art security
system exceeds all government requirements, and keeps our
staff quietly informed about residents’ whereabouts at all
times.
Family Family, friends and neighbors are encouraged to
join our caregivers in creating a community that celebrates
each day. We invite loved ones to visit often, participate
in planned activities, and use our private dining room on
special occasions.
Memory Boxes Memory boxes are located outside each
resident’s suite to help stimulate memories by offering
visual accessibility to real-life experiences from the past.
Respite Program Caring for someone with memory
loss or Alzheimer’s can be both physically and emotionally
draining. The Arbors offers respite care to give caregivers
a rest from the demands of their responsibilities. Respite
residents enjoy all of the care and amenities at The Arbors,
including dining, activities programs, rehabilitation
therapies and outings in a safe, secure environment.
Laundry Services The Arbors of Bedford provides daily
laundry service for each resident at no additional charge.
Housekeeping Services The professional housekeeping
staff performs daily light cleaning, which includes changing
and laundering bed linens.
Transportation We offer complimentary scheduled
transportation to our residents for outings, shopping
and entertainment excursions.
Alzheimer’s Support Group The Arbors runs a free
support group for families, friends and others coping
with a loved-one’s illness.
Barber/Beauty Shop Barber and beauty salon services are
offered right within the residence; appointments are easily
made through the staff.
The Neighborhoods at The Arbors
One of the most unique features of the Arbors is its
neighborhood configuration—a series of four interconnected
areas serving residents with differing needs. From Belknap,
to Strafford, to Cheshire and Hillsborough, each neighborhood
allows residents to thrive in a community setting that is
specifically geared towards the services that they require at
that time.
Our charming neighborhoods are designed for activities and
resident interaction, along with a sensitivity to things like light
and color, which can effect a person with memory loss. Every
feature has been planned to provide comfort, ease anxiety, and
promote individual wellness.
Each neighborhood offers a dining room/café, common areas
for relaxation and entertainment, resident rooms, access to
a secure outdoor courtyard, and immediate proximity to a
nurses’ station. Our staff are always up and involved with
residents offering personal attention.
As individual needs change, The Arbors has the resources
and expertise to serve the entire span of the Alzheimer’s and
memory impairment spectrum in a familiar and comforting

From the North, Interstate Route 93 (Concord, NH/Vermont/Interstate 89):
Take I-93 South to I-293 South to Route 101 West. Take next immediate exit,
Route 3, South River Road. Turn right off the exit ramp. Travel 1.5 miles, and
take a left into second Hawthorne Drive entrance. The Arbors is on the right.
From the South, Interstate Route 93 (Boston, MA/Andover, MA/Salem, NH):
Take I-93 North and pass New Hampshire Exit 5. Take left exit onto I-293
South. Take the Rt. 3, Kilton Road, South River Road exit. At last set of lights
take a right onto Rt. 3/ South River Road. Travel 1.5 miles, and take a left into
second Hawthorne Drive entrance. The Arbors is on the right.
From the South, Route 3/Everett Turnpike (Nashua, NH/Mass.): Take Route
3/Everett Turnpike North and continue through the Bedford Toll Booth to Exit
101 West (Bedford / Milford). Pass the 293/101 exit and take next exit - Route 3,
Kilton Rd./South River Road. At last set of lights take a right onto Rt. 3, South
River Road. Travel 1.5 miles, and take a left into second Hawthorne Drive
entrance. The Arbors is on the right.
From the West, Route 101 (Milford, NH/Keene, NH): Take Route 3 exit
(Bedford Business District). Turn left off exit ramp. Turn right onto Route
3 South River Road. Travel 1.5 miles, and take a left into second Hawthorne
Drive entrance. The Arbors is on the right.
