Resident Program Manager
Cogswell Hall, a permanent housing facility for low-income, single adults with housing
barriers, is seeking a full time Resident Program Manager. The primary responsibilities
include planning, developing, implementing and evaluating programs and service, hiring,
training, supervising and evaluating program staff, engaging in collaborations with other
service providing agencies and providing direct service to residents.
Candidate must have either a Masters’ degree with at least two years of supervisory
experience or Bachelors’ degree with at least four years of supervisory experience, in social
work or related field. Experience with residential programs, behavioral health, cognitive
disability, and homelessness preferred.
The position requires:
 Sensitivity and commitment to the needs of low income adults with disabling
conditions.
 Responsible, informed decision making and accountability.
 Proficiency in program development and implementation.
 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
 Excellent supervisory skills.
 Ability to maintain professional ethics and boundaries.
 Ability to coordinate with community agencies, residents and their families.
 Ability to negotiate all areas of the facility.
 Flexible availability.
Duties include:
 Program development and implementation
 Direct services for the resident population including but not limited to advocacy,
emotional support, life skills education, mediation, individual service planning, and
group activities
 Hire, train and supervise program staff
 Coordinate with property and facilities management
 Collaborate and coordinate with community agencies and organizations
 Assist with program funding and reporting
 Work with the Board of Directors Program Committee
