Position Description: Gould Evans is seeking a full-time specifications writer to support all of our studios nationwide. Ideal candidate would be a licensed architect with a minimum of 15 years of experience and strong writing, research and analysis skills.

Currently, we have more than 125 associates across our Phoenix, San Francisco, Kansas City, Lawrence, New

Orleans, and Tampa studios.

Primary responsibilities of the position:

 Development of specifications through direct interaction with project teams

 Develop and manage office master specifications and keynote lists

 Provide leadership, training and mentorship in specification writing across our studios

 Provide quality assurance reviews for project teams

 Systems and product research

 Maintain technical resource library and contact list

 Interface with the project delivery manager to improve best practices for processes and documentation

We are seeking candidates with:

 Architectural License

 15+ years of experience with a focus on specification writing for a minimum of 5 years

 CSI Certified Construction Specifier (CCS)

 Active CSI membership with a leadership position a plus

 Proficiency in Microsoft Office

 Proficiency in ARCOM MasterWorks; ARCOM SpecBuilder Desktop a plus

 Experience working on high design projects at a variety of scales

 Experience writing specifications for sustainable design

 Expertise in detailing, construction administration, building science, codes and ADA standards

 Initiative to stay on top of industry issues and trends affecting quality specification writing
