Electronic transformers are slowly becoming the
standard in low voltage lighting. Its low profile
design allows for space saving design while
electronic circuitry ensures a noise free
environment.
HOW TO SELECT YOUR TRANSFORMER:
Add the total lamp wattage of each output
circuit in your application, make sure that the
total lamp wattage would not exceed the
maximum wattage of the transformer you plan
to use. For example: If the transformer you plan
to use is rated 300W and you have two output
circuits each with three 50 watt lamps, your
total wattage would be: 3 lamps x 2 circuits=6
lamps x 50 watts (each)=300 watts - exactly the
rated wattage of your transformer. If the total
lamp wattage is more, you have to select
another transformer which rated close to your
total wattage but never less.

Toroidal Magnetic Transformers

HOUSING
• 18 Gauge welded steel, measuring 14.5" x 8" x 4" with 21 knockouts and a barrier plate.
• Bracket (UMB - Universal Mounting Bracket) included to secure housing to a 2' x 4' wall
stud for recess wall mounting or to surface mount. Door measures 15.5" x 9".
MULTI-VOLT & TAPS
The LFT Series Power Supply Center comes standard with five primary taps to provide
secondary voltages of: 11V, 12V, 13V, 14V & 15V; or 22V, 24V, 26V, 28V, & 30V. Loads
may be connected to one of the primary taps up to the full watt rating of the PSC. The
advantage is that loads at varying distances from the PSC can be tapped to recover
voltage drop and produce between 85%-100% light output.
PRIMARY CIRCUIT PROTECTION
All units come with both a primary magnetic circuit breaker and a primary auto-reset
thermal protector, which is built into the transformer. This termalprotector will temporarily
disconnect the primary if the transformer overheats due to an overload of saturation from a
faulty dimmer.
The design of LITON's toroidal recessed or
surface mounted transformers allow an
installation that is more adaptable and
economical. Additionally, these transformers
use magnetic breakers, which prevents tripping
caused by the ambient temperature of the
transformer. The transformers uses four primary
taps to recover losses from voltage drop.
SECONDARY CIRCUIT PROTECTION
Protected by up to fifteen (6) magnetic circuit breakers. Breaker sized to the feed load per
N.E.C. Article 411 (not to exceed 25 amps per load). All wiring by the electrical contractor
must be Class 1 compliant to N.E.C. Secondary breakers available in 5A, 10A, 15A, 20A,
and 25A.
TOROIDAL CHOKE
A choke or "debuzzing coil" reduces noise and in-rush current. A choke is standard, to
achieve quiet operation.
