The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) in the Graduate School of
Engineering and Applied Sciences (GSEAS) at the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS)
invites applications for the position of non-tenure track Lecturer in the field of Electrical
Engineering. We are seeking candidates with core strengths in areas such as:
electromagnetic field theory, radar, cyber and communications engineering. Familiarity
with U.S. Navy, DoD, and Intelligence Community organization and operations is highly
desired. The successful candidate is expected to teach courses in the areas specified as
required as well as advise thesis students. The candidate must have a strong
commitment to graduate student support.
We are seeking a colleague to join our vibrant and diverse department which has a long
history of excellence in electrical engineering, sensor systems, networks, cyber systems,
and intelligence integration. The ECE Department has a strong research infrastructure
and is home to the Center for Cyber Warfare (CCW), the Joint Services Electronic
Warfare Center (JSEWC), and the Center for Multi-INT Studies (CMIS). In addition, there
is access to secure computing and communications facilities and other computational
resources at the NPS. The ECE Department promotes interdisciplinary research and
encourages research collaborations with a number of institutions located across the

Minimum qualifications:
• A master’s degree in a technical field that supports the ability to teach at the
graduate level and to conduct and manage academic research related to ECE
Department’s research and instructional needs.

Evidence of aptitude as a classroom instructor for graduate-level engineering
courses
Evidence of potential to advise student theses and dissertations
Must currently hold or be eligible for a TS/SCI clearance
U.S. citizenship required

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Relocation package,
