SHIPMENT INSURANCE
WITH DHL EXPRESS
FOR PEACE OF MIND
DHL’s Shipment Insurance provides you with protection against the risk of physical loss or
damage to your shipments from external causes during transportation by DHL.
DHL handle all shipments with great care throughout the delivery process. Although it is rare, unfortunately
accidents can sometimes happen and insurance will provide you with additional peace of mind and financial
protection (limited to your actual financial loss).
It’s important to note that DHL’s liability is limited in accordance with its terms and conditions. Liability is based
on the weight of the goods which may be considerably lower than the actual cost of replacement. If you think this
liability cover is insufficient DHL encourages you to protect yourself against potential loss or damage by purchasing
Shipment Insurance.
BENEFITS OF SHIPMENT INSURANCE
•Ease of use – simply select insurance in your DHL
shipping tool and enter the value of the goods. The
value entered should reflect the cost of replacement.
•Simple pricing – you pay £12 or 1.5% of the value of
the goods; whichever is greater.
•No excess – you are compensated for the full cost of
replacement.
• Simple claims process and prompt settlement.
•You are covered from when DHL is in control or
possession of the shipment until the time of delivery*.
•If you do need to make a claim you are covered for
both the replacement value of the goods and the
freight charges.
