Communicate the design by submitting via electronic means a written proposal and making a formal oral presentation of a design proposal at the end of the semester.

Design appropriate laboratory or field tests to verify performance and validate the finished design.

Work effectively on a team with other technical people on a large project.

Apply mathematics and physics to analyze candidate designs in order to predict performance.

Carry out a detailed design of a technological artifact (hardware or software).

CpE 481

Design and implement laboratory performance tests to verify system performance.

Troubleshoot hardware and software implementations to detect and identify design and execution errors as well as component failures.

Contribute engineering, technician, and management skills in a team setting to bring a design to the stage of being functionally working and fully documented.

Work effectively in groups.

Use modern engineering tools and techniques.

Write project documentation conforming to professional standards.

CpE 481 Develop a professional orientation, including being aware of some of the environmental, social, legal, and ethical aspects of the engineering profession; clarifying and articulating career aspirations and accomplishments; and seeing the value of continuous learning in order to maintain competency.

Frequency of data collection:

Data Analysis:

Undergraduate In-Course Program Outcomes Assessment form.

The data are collected every semester based on the course offerings.

The data are collected every time courses are taught.

The data obtained are analyzed every year.

Closing the loop: This outcome is subject to review every year based on performance criteria and metrics and specific action items are developed, if necessary, to revise the content of the courses. The analyzed data are presented separately to the following groups in meetings. a) Faculty b) Advisory Board

Performance criteria and metrics : a) Embedded course assessments administered in CpE 480/481 with average grades >= D on assignments and test which cover the performance indicators.
