Graepel-STUV GmbH: Where innovation is at home
Graepel-STUV GmbH was founded as a machinery rental station in 1949
and expanded to a machine and tractor station in 1952. Renamed as
LIA (Landtechnische Industrieanlagen - industrial equipment for agriculture) in 1973, the company started to manufacture industrial livestock
buildings. The galvanizing plant was also built at that time. In 1990,
the company changed its name again, this time to „Stalltechnik und
Verzinkung GmbH“ (STUV - farm equipment and galvanization).
In 1991, STUV was taken over by Friedrich Claudius Graepel as a
rate of more than 10 percent, Graepel-STUV GmbH is today one of
100 percent subsidiary of the Graepel AG Löningen and renamed
the largest employers and training companies in the municipality
as Graepel-STUV GmbH. Graepel shifted the production branch for
of Seehausen and beyond in the border triangle of Saxony-Anhalt,

Graepel-STUV GmbH in Seehausen has its own
galvanizing shop with an annual capacity of 6,000
t. We do not only provide our own products with a
durable and effective corrosion protection layer, but
also offer this service in accordance with DIN ISO EN
1461 to companies and private customers.
Perforations are our speciality. Graepel-STUV GmbH
offers 17 different perforations for a range of applications. For several perforations, we are able to leave
out single holes or beads thanks to the program
control in order to create individual perforation
groups for our customers.

Perforation overview

Graepel Stabil
This perforation is one of our classics. Graepel Stabil
is distinguished by its high anti-skid effect, large
displacement space and enormous drainage effect
through 45 mm olive-shaped openings. But: a ball
with a diameter of 15 mm cannot fall through.
Graepel Stabil S
Graepel Stabil S has the same properties as Graepel
Stabil, but the 75 mm long openings are 60 percent
larger. This perforation is highly resistant and has
significant advantages in steel construction.
Graepel Round S
Graepel Round S is a universal grating with a suitable
hole pattern to be used on floor surfaces and stairs.
Slip resistance and drainage are achieved by embossed and debossed perforations.
Graepel Round A
The special surface of the safety grating Round A with
particularly small holes prevents small parts from
dropping through. This perforation is very suitable for
catwalks and stairways in public and industrial areas.
Graepel Round B
The perforations of the safety grating Round B provide
a safe and also very comfortable walking surface for
pedestrians. This perforation can be used inside as
well as outside in public buildings, for stairways and
catwalks.
Graepel Round C
The safety grating Graepel Round C with its particularly esthetic round holes can be used indoors as a
walking surface, as well as for facade cladding and
optimal sun protection.
Graepel Cone
The closed surface is used in industrial and public
areas where a certain anti-skid effect is required
and nothing should drop through, where the view
between two levels must be prevented and where
finer (non-industrial) shoes are worn.
Graepel Diamond
The closed surface is suitable for barefoot walking
and is used in industrial and public areas where
a certain anti-skid effect is required, but nothing

Graepel Steg
The safety grating Graepel Steg is distinguished by its
high load capacity and good drainage effect and is
especially recommended for floor areas in industrial
plants.

Graepel Round
With its good drainage and adequate displacement
space, this safety grating is used mainly for preassembled components such as scaffolding planks,
treads and ladder rungs for trucks and industrial
vehicles.
Graepel Round N 08 / N12
These gratings have a mixture of cone and round
perforations and are thus suitable for indoor and
outdoor use. They are suitable for barefoot walking
and differ only in the hole size.
Graepel Round K
Safety gratings with Graepel Round K perforation
have been tried and tested in public areas with
pedestrian traffic but also in commercial use such as
in canteen kitchens and butcheries. The open area is
smaller than the one of Graepel Round S perforation.
Graepel Round F
Due to its particularly esthetic round holes, this grating can be used indoors as a walking surface as well
as outdoors. It can also be used for facade cladding.
Graepel Round Z
This perforation is based on Graepel Round F. Its
large perforations have a star-shaped opening. Due
to its enormous drainage effect and good anti-skid
properties, the grating can be used outdoors.
Graepel Rubber Stud
Due to the rubber studs, this grating allows silent
steps. The anti-skid effect and its optical refinements
have made this a favorite product for stairs and
surfaces in modern interior finishes.

The Graepel Light Profile grating is essential where
high dirt volumes and precipitation put underfoot
safety at risk. It allows for almost unlimited view on
underlying parts or areas.
Graepel Ladder Rungs
The ladder rungs from Graepel are designed with
ultimate safety in mind. They can be supplied in
different standard designs sold by the meter for own
cut or cut with jog for welding.

For tank and silo vehicles, ladders, platforms and skirting board gratings are important components. Maximum security must be ensured even under adverse conditions such as contamination, humidity and ice. Graepel metal profile grating elements are designed to provide

Diverse requirements in vehicle construction call for different step solutions. We have
developed customer-specific steps on the basis of our metal profile gratings offering a
safe ascent, entry and exit from vehicles. All these assemblies offer underfoot safety due
to their anti-skid surface and are supplied pre-assembled and ready-for-installation.

Diversity with constants: Graepel products for machine and
plant construction
Despite great diversity, the following applies to all machines and plants:
they must be operated and maintained. This requires catwalks, stairways and
platforms. Custom design with Graepel gratings and perforated sheetings,
providing safe accessibility and an utmost level of slip resistance in all
weathers. Thanks to high-quality materials and an excellent level of rigidity,
large span widths are possible without complicated frame structures.
The robust surfaces ensure a long service life even under extreme stress due
to weather conditions and aggressive substances thus providing safety
underfoot.

The “Mariensteg“ connects two municipalities at the river Inn across borders: Neuburg on the Bavarian side and Wernstein on the Austrian side. The pedestrian and cycle bridge
is 144 m long. The asymmetrical design of the suspension bridge with one pylon looks slim and elegant. Metal profile gratings of the type Graepel Round N 12, hot-dip galvanized
steel, were used as floor covering.
Graepel safety gratings can also be used as floor coverings and combine well with other materials like at
the Shouwburgplain in Rotterdam. The anti-slip, slotted perforation has been developed especially for this
project.
For the facade of the Military History Museum in Dresden
(Germany), Daniel Libeskind used Graepel metal profile
greetings made of anodized aluminum. For this project,
a special perforation based on Graepel Steg has been
developed and produced.

for the fields of renewable energy and offshore sectors
Plants for alternative energy generation should be trouble-free
long-term and must therefore be maintained on a regular basis.
For ensuring underfoot safety in these plants, Graepel metal
profile gratings can be used as stairways, landings, catwalks and
platforms.

Offshore wind turbines have a helicopter deck at their turbine
house providing access for service personnel. Graepel helihoist
platforms are made of saltwater-proof aluminum and painted

Graepel metal profile gratings make landing docks safer in rain
and snow due to their anti-slip surface and offer a drainage effect
through their perforation. Different perforations, such as Graepel
Round S or Graepel Round N 08, have also been tried and tested
in combination with other materials. They can be supplied in
